After creating your new distribution list, it will be displayed in your Distributions list in the left menu. Click on the name of the distribution to view its list of subscribers and perform the following management tasks:
- Creating a new distribution
- Export the list of subscribers
- Invite others to subscribe to your distribution
- Manage your subscription requests
- Add subscribers to one distribution or multiple distribution lists at once
- Remove subscribers from one distribution or multiple distribution lists at once
- Authorize other addresses to send email to your distribution
- Delete a contact from your contact list
- Edit the contact details of a contact
Create a New Distribution
1. Click the New List button in the left menu.
2. On the pop-up window that appears, enter a name for your new distribution list in the Distribution Title bar.
3. Paste the contact email addresses that will be added to the list in the List Of Emails window.
4. Click the Create button.
NOTE: If your newly-created distribution list doesn't appear in the left menu right away, log out of your account, then log back in.
Export Subscriber List
You can export a list of the subscribers to the distribution by clicking the More drop-down at the top of the page and selecting Export List as CSV.
You can invite people to subscribe to the distribution by clicking the More drop-down at the top of the page and selecting Invite Subscribers. Copy and paste the link that generates into an email to send to the prospective subscriber.
To ensure that your invite link isn't passed on to people that you do NOT want subscribed to your distribution, you can make your distribution "private" requiring all subscription requests to be approved by you, the account owner.
To make your distribution private:
- Locate the distribution in the left menu and click on it.
- Click the More drop-down at the top of the page and select Distribution Settings. This will open a right-hand side bar on your screen.
3. On the side bar that opens, click the toggle button next to "I want to approve all subscription requests", ensuring that it is shifted to Yes. This will make your distribution private.
Once set to private, any attempt to subscribe to the distribution will send an email to the account owner requesting approval. You can also approve or deny pending requests by clicking Subscription Requests in the left menu.
Click directly on the name of a subscriber to open the right-hand side bar. Here, you can view which of your other distributions the contact is subscribed to. You can subscribe or unsubscribe them from your other distribution lists by clicking on the corresponding toggle button.
To subscribe contacts to an single distribution:
- Locate the distribution in the left menu and click on it.
- Click the Add Subscribers button at the top of the page.
- Paste the contact email addresses that will be added to the list in the Add New Subscribers window. (NOTE: the contacts do not need to have been previously added to your contacts table)
- Click the Add button.
The new subscribers will be displayed at the top of the subscribers list, indicated as New.
To subscribe contacts to multiple distributions:
- Click All Contacts in the left menu to display your entire contacts table.
- Click the Add New Contacts button at the top of the page.
- Paste the contact email addresses that will added to the distributions in the Add new contacts window.
- Click the Add button.
- Click on the toggle buttons that correspond to the distribution lists you wish to add the contact(s) to, ensuring that the buttons are shifted to Yes.
- Click the Finish button.
To unsubscribe contacts from a single distribution:
- Locate the distribution in the left menu and click into it to display the list of subscribers.
- Click the checkbox of the contact(s) you wish to unsubscribe.
- Click the Unsubscribe button at the top of the page.
To unsubscribe contacts from multiple distributions:
- Click All Contacts in the left menu to display your entire contacts table.
- Click directly on the name of the contact you need to unsubscribe to open the right-hand side bar.
- Click on the toggle button that correspond to the distribution lists you wish to remove the contact from, ensuring that the button is shifted to No.
To delete a contact from your contacts table:
- Click All Contacts in the left menu to display your entire contacts table.
- Click the checkbox of the contact(s) you wish to delete.
- Click the More drop-down to the right of the Add to distribution button and select Delete Contacts.
To add/edit the contact details for a contact:
- Click All Contacts in the left menu to display your entire contacts table.
- Click directly on the name of the contact whose details you need to edit to open the right-hand side bar.
- Enter or edit the details in each field as required.
- Click the Save button.
NOTE: the Primary Email address of a contact cannot be changed or modified. If the contact has a new email address, you will need to create a new contact record for them.
Click the View Contact Insights button in the side bar to view how the contact has been engaging with your content. For more information on contact insights, go to the Insights page in our Help Center.
