Street Context provides the ability to share your lists with colleagues, allowing them to co-manage and send emails to them just as you do. You can control how much access by assigning them the appropriate permissions.
Click any of the following topics for more details on sharing lists:
How to Share Lists
- Under Manage Lists, click into All Lists.
- Check the boxes next to the list(s) you wish to share.
- Click the Share Lists button at the top of the table.
- In the window that pops up, locate the colleague(s) you wish to share your list with and check the box next to their name(s).
- On the next page, select the appropriate permissions you wish to assign to your colleague and click the Finish button.
Assigning Permissions
When you share a list with a colleague, you specify permissions for that user on this list, each affecting what they can and can't do:
Send Emails - can send their own email to the list, displaying their own name/email address in the From: field.
Edit Subscriptions - can add or remove contacts to the list.
View All Emails - can view all of the emails sent to this list in their own account, regardless of the sender.
Send As You - can send emails to your list as you, the list owner. They would still send from their own mail client/email address, but to the contacts on the list, the email will appear to be coming from you (your name will appear in the From: field). Click here for more details on our Sending As feature.
Editing Permissions
- Click Manage Lists in the header.
- Click into All Lists in the top-left corner of the screen.
- Click into one of your lists.
- Click the Shared With tab.
Under this tab, you'll see everyone with access to the list - the List Owner and anyone else it has been shared with. Your own permission setup will be detailed at the top of the table:
Example: You are the List Owner. You can Send Emails, Edit Subscriptions, and View All Emails.
If you are the List Owner, here is where you'll be able to edit the permissions of those you've shared the list with.
- You can add or remove a user's ability to send to the list as you (Send As You).
- The You Can Send column will display an Email List button to click (instead of the Email List button at the top of the page) for anyone you have permission to impersonate.
- The Edit Permissions column will display buttons for altering or removing the permissions of those you've shared with.
Viewing Shared Lists
- Click Manage Lists in the header.
- Click into All Lists in the top-left corner of the page.
Every list that's available to you, whether your own or one that's been shared with you, will be displayed. You can click the appropriate filter buttons at the top-right of the table to isolate your own lists or the lists shared with you in your view.
